Dental disease is debilitating. Pets suffer from many of the same oral health problems as humans, Conditions include :

Periodontal disease :This is an infection between tooth and gum that left untreated can spread throughout the body.

Gingivitis :The gum inflammation of this disease is caused mostly by the accumulation of tartar and plaque.

Proliferating Gum Disease :This disease is common to boxer and bull terrier breeds. The condition causes the gums to grow over the teeth.

Mouth Tumors :These lumps on the gums must be surgically removed and are potentially malignant.

Salivary Cysts : These sores look like blisters and appear under the tongue and in the crease of the mouth. The cysts must be drained and if salivary glands are damaged, they must be removed.

Canine Distemper Teeth : If a puppy suffered from distemper, the teeth may be damaged and may need to be removed.

  • Learn the proper technique for brushing your pet’s teeth.
  • Give your pets a healthy diet.
  • Give dogs chew toys that have the Veterinarian Oral Health Council Seal of Approval.
